Getting Started

What ages and grade levels do you serve? +
We primarily serve children in Kindergarten through 8th grade (roughly ages 5–14). However, we also work with high school students — including those taking college-level courses like Spanish 101 and 102 — so don’t hesitate to reach out regardless of your child’s age.
How do I get started with LunaVista Learning? +
It’s easy! Simply reach out through our Contact page or book a free consultation directly. Tell us about your child — their age, grade, what subjects they need help with, and any learning challenges they face. From there, we’ll personally match them with the right tutor and set up their first session.
Do you offer a free consultation before committing? +
Yes! We offer a free consultation so we can learn about your child’s needs and make sure we’re the right fit for your family. There’s no pressure and no commitment required — just a friendly conversation to get started.
🎓

Tutoring Sessions

Are sessions online or in-person? +
All tutoring sessions are conducted online through the award-winning Koala Go classroom platform. This makes it convenient for families anywhere in the world and allows sessions to fit seamlessly into your schedule.
How long is each tutoring session? +
Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the subject and the child’s age and attention span. We’ll discuss the ideal session length during your free consultation to make sure it works best for your child.
What is the difference between 1-on-1 and small group tutoring? +
1-on-1 tutoring is a private session between your child and their tutor — fully personalized with no distractions. Small group tutoring (2–4 students) is great for siblings, friends, or homeschool co-ops, and offers a more social, collaborative environment at a lower cost per family.
Will I know what happened in each session? +
Absolutely — that’s part of our concierge promise. After every session you’ll receive a progress update covering what was covered, how your child performed, any observations from the tutor, and what’s planned for next time. You’ll never be left wondering.

Subjects & Services

What subjects do you tutor? +
We offer tutoring in Spanish (all levels), English Language Arts (reading, writing, phonics, grammar), and Elementary Mathematics (K–5). We also specialize in supporting students with diverse learning needs including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism.
Does my child need to speak any Spanish to start Spanish tutoring? +
Not at all! We welcome complete beginners. Our Spanish tutoring starts from the very basics and builds at your child’s pace. Whether your child has never said a word in Spanish or is already conversational, we’ll meet them exactly where they are.
Do you work with homeschooling families? +
Yes — homeschooling families are a core part of our community! Our flexible scheduling, personalized approach, and online format make us a natural fit for homeschool lifestyles. We work seamlessly alongside any homeschool curriculum or approach you use.
🌈

Special Needs Support

Do you offer support for children with learning differences? +
Yes! We offer compassionate, inclusive tutoring specifically designed for children with diverse learning needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning differences. Our tutors are patient, creative, and trained to adapt their approach to each child’s unique way of learning.
Are your tutors trained to work with IEPs? +
Yes — our tutors are IEP-aware and work to support the goals outlined in your child’s Individualized Education Plan. We encourage families to share any relevant documentation so our tutors can plan sessions that align with and reinforce those goals.
What if my child is a reluctant learner? +
We specialize in this! Our tutors are experts at engaging reluctant learners by incorporating their interests, using games and interactive activities, and building confidence slowly through small, meaningful wins. Many of our most rewarding success stories come from children who started out not wanting to learn at all.
📅

Scheduling & Logistics

How flexible is the scheduling? +
Very flexible! We work with families across multiple time zones and offer morning, afternoon, and evening slots to fit your schedule. Sessions can be booked weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed — whatever works best for your family.
What if my child’s tutor isn’t the right fit? +
No problem at all — we’ll find a better match right away, no questions asked. Your child’s comfort and progress is our top priority. This is part of our concierge satisfaction promise: if something isn’t working, we fix it.
How do I contact LunaVista Learning? +
