My daughters, ages 7 and 11, have made great progress in their fluency and reading skills this past year with Miss Cathy. Specific tracking of their WPM, and detailed summaries of each class have been very helpful to me for our homeschooling records. My kids enjoy her positive energy and how she makes learning fun!

Casper really enjoys Cathy’s English classes. Cathy never rushes things and always gives kids enough time to think. When Casper makes mistakes, she never criticizes him harshly; she just gently corrects him. He says he prefers Ms. Cathy’s class to his school English teacher’s. He’s dropped his after-school programming and Chinese lessons, yet he has never wanted to quit English. He wants to keep learning it. His choice says it all.

Thanks to Ms. Cathy’s guidance and correction, my child has improved a lot in reading and writing. I have tried other teachers, but Cathy’s teaching method is very humorous and interesting, which is easy for children to accept.

Cathy is a phenomenal tutor! We started in a tricky spot with our kindergartener, Vea. Cathy was so understanding and helped meet us where we were. Vea made great progress and started to get excited about learning again. Cathy got Vea reading, spelling, and writing despite Vea being a reluctant learner. Cathy got Vea to feel proud of herself and ready to jump into reading and writing. Cathy was patient and creative in getting our learner to be more confident in her skills and ready to engage in further learning. We LOVE Cathy!

My daughter had Mrs. Cathy as a tutor while she was taking Spanish 101 and 102 at the Community College while she was a freshman/sophomore in high school… we feel so lucky to have gotten Cathy because she worked so well with our daughter. Cathy was patient, kind and supportive on the assignments that our daughter had to get through each week. Beyond just working on assignments, Cathy would teach her other vocabulary words and sentence skills that helped our daughter’s confidence level to improve drastically. I have already recommended her to others and would request her again in a heartbeat if we needed more tutoring because Cathy definitely knows the Spanish language.
